Technology Upgrade Information
We are excited to announce that Ultima Bank Minnesota will undergo a technology upgrade to a new core banking system on April 10, 2026. We are making this change so we may continue to provide you with safe, secure products and services while utilizing the newest technology.
What is a ‘core system’? Our core processing system, also known as a core system, is the software that manages our major banking functions. These functions include:
-opening and managing accounts
-maintaining account holder information
-processing cash deposits and withdrawals
-processing transactions
-plus much more…
Why a new core? To accommodate growth, a new core system will allow us to offer you more capabilities while enhancing our services and efficiency. We are committed to offering our customers the most convenient and secure banking experience possible, and this investment in technology allows us to fulfill that commitment today and into the future!
What can I expect? Our system will transition end-of-day on April 9, 2026, meaning we should be completely up and running with the new system on April 10th. While the conversion will mostly be happening behind the scenes, there may be times when it may affect some of the services you use; this will be minimal and you may not notice any disruption at all. We will have normal business hours during this core conversion and will help answer any questions that may arise.
We will be introducing a revised and refreshed professional design for several of our assets, including our debit cards and an upgraded website. There will also be some minor account changes, but we will keep you informed of them all in the upcoming weeks.
